INSIDE AND OUTSIDE THE ARCTIC CIRCLE – NANCHANG, CHINE — Edition 2016
Mario Cyr was pleased to receive an invitation from the Government of Quebec to participate in this exhibition which took place from March 16 to April 1, 2016 at the provincial Library of Jiangxi — Town of Nanchang. Three photographers from Quebec: François Nadeau, Claude Fortin and Mario Cyr, as well as seven Chinese photographers, exhibited a selection of 130 photos. The objective of this exhibition was to raise awareness of all mankind, especially young people in the province of Jiangxi, about the effects of climate change on a global scale.
Mr. XIAO Ge — Renowned Chinese photographer, is the originator of this project. In 2015, he explored the arctic region of Quebec and was fascinated by its beauty. Upon his return to China, he contacted the Bureau du Québec to Shanghai to present his project that became an important China-Quebec photo exhibition collaboration.
